On April 11, official events featuring cosmonaut Aidyn Akanovich Aimbetov will take place to mark Cosmonautics Day.
The events will include a flower-laying ceremony at the "Conquerors of Space" monument. Following this, trees will be planted in the "Cosmonaut Alley" at the Kosmonavt Hotel Complex.
Aidyn Akanovich Aimbetov is a Kazakhstani cosmonaut, People's Hero of Kazakhstan, and Major General of the Kazakhstan Air Force. From September 2 to 12, 2015, he performed a space flight as Flight Engineer-2 of the Soyuz TMA-18M manned transport spacecraft to the International Space Station.
